Time for an All-Living-Composer project update!🤩🥳
"Without the streets or dusks of Buenos Aires, a tango cannot be written." - #JorgLuisBorges
Who else feels this on a personal level? 🙋🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♀️ in 2017, we were fortunate enough to spend time exploring and performing music in Argentina, and the last city we were in during the concert tour was none other than Buenos Aires. 🇦🇷♥️ 🌎
The city and its people are a study in contrasts, and our time there has left a permanent impression on us and how we approach performing South American music.🎶
There’s something so fun, vulnerable and seductive about Buenos Aires and we feel like Argentine composer and guitarist Máximo Diego Pujol captures that perfectly in his piece “Dos Aires Candomberos.”
Naturally, we couldn’t resist adding this piece to our All-Living-Composer project!🤩
Here is a little preview of the first movement, titled: “Nubes de Buenos Aires.”
We can’t decide what we love more...
The energetic pulse between the flute and guitar or the sweet, delicate melody that follows.
